Principle of Fume Hood Duct Cleaning
To enhance the lifespan and efficiency of fume hood ducts, regular cleaning is necessary. Over time, grease accumulates on the surfaces, forming a stubborn layer of grime that hinders the flow of fumes and makes cleaning very difficult.
Solving Safety Hazards in Catering with Robots
Robots address these issues by spraying chemical solutions into the ducts to dissolve the grease, followed by high-pressure washing to clean the interior. A vacuum bucket then sucks up the grease. This method is safer and more efficient than manual cleaning, eliminating the risks associated with manual entry into the ducts.
The robot is controlled by a control box operated by a person, who places the robot into the duct (a 30x30 cm hole is needed for entry) and then maneuvers it to spray the cleaning solution.
Most importantly, the robot can replace a person in cleaning the ducts (manual cleaning is only possible in ducts larger than 50 cm), and its cleaning efficiency is two to three times that of manual labor, resolving safety concerns.
